GUIDE TO DESIGN A PLAN ON DISABILITY AND INCLUSION IN UNIVERSITIES

GUIDE TO DESIGN A PLAN ON DISABILITY AND INCLUSION IN UNIVERSITIES

The CIRAD-IFCU in close collaboration with experts from the Catholic University of Valencia (UCV-Campus Capacitas) has published a bilingual Guide to support higher education institutions to design an Institutional Plan on Disability and Inclusion.

The guide, which is available in Spanish and English, is composed of a first part in which the reality of the disability is presented by going through the different paradigms that coexist nowadays, with a focus on its implementation at university settings. The second part offers user-friendly practical tools so that any university can do a diagnosis and, by following step-by-step the methodology suggested, design its own plan in accordance with its needs, resources and contextual features.

The publication of this guide is part of a 3-year CIRAD-IFCU international project aiming at improving access to and accompaniment of disabled students at Catholic universities, by promoting an inclusive culture and pedagogy across all the university community members.
